FOR MANY PEOPLE OUTE THERE, MEXICAN WRAPS ARE A FAVORITE COMFORT FOOD; JUST BECAUSE THEY INCLUDE TORTILLAS.

These thin, tasty pancakes-like, which are usually stuffed with savory ingredients, like cheese, meat, and veggies.

However, the numerous possibilities of a tortilla are not limited to Mexican food, as with this versatile flatbread one can make various types of wraps. With that being said, let’s get some food inspo with 6 tortilla wraps that are toaster-friendly and filled with ingredients from 6 Mediterranean countries.

1. THE FRENCH WAY

Have you ever eaten a sweet tortilla? We can assure you that it’s totally a must-try, and a perfect solution for the times you crave a sweet crepe but do not have crepes at home. Usually, French crepes contain chocolate, strawberries, and bananas, but the sky is really the limit, as you can include berries, nuts, hazelnut spread, granola, or whatever you like.

2. THE ITALIAN WAY

Now that we have established that tortilla can be eaten as a dessert as well, it is time to dive into more traditional forms. The Italian version of a tortilla wrap is definitely healthier and with less calories, as it may be filled with ingredients like mozzarella, sundried tomatoes, pesto, and/or deli cold cuts, such as salami, or artichokes, for a meat-less version.

3. THE GREEK WAY

6. THE TURKISH WAY

Finally, for the true meat lovers, the Turkish wrap is probably the best version. To make it, add some lamb kebab to your tortilla, along with lemon juice, yoghurt, and vegetables like onions, tomatoes, and lettuce. Plus, it is important to add spices, including cumin, sweet paprika, cinnamon, and thyme.
